This NiSi Swift System VND Kit 67mm gives you flexible light control by combining a NiSi True Color VND 1-5 stop filter with a NiSi Swift System ND16 (4 stop). You receive both filters, a front protection and a padded bag to store them. When used together, the filters provide a variable ND range of 5 to 9 stops.
The NiSi True Color VND provides stepless control from 1 to 5 EV by rotating the front ring. The ND16 adds a fixed 4-stop reduction. Together, they produce a continuous variable neutral density from 5 to 9 stops. Installation is straightforward: push the filters on and rotate the front ring to set the desired density.
Use the kit for both stills and motion. Photographers can open the aperture to achieve shallower depth of field in bright conditions. Videographers can combine aperture adjustments with the filter to fine-tune exposure while retaining the chosen frame rate. The marked front ring and built-in stops support quick, repeatable changes during shoots.
NiSi equips the filters with advanced nano coatings to repel water, grease and dirt and to make cleaning easier. The ND16 uses a NEW Multi-Ti Coating for improved scratch resistance and better anti-glare performance. The filter rings are made from high-quality aluminum for a balance of strength and lightness, and the thin ring design reduces the risk of vignetting on wide-angle lenses.

question: How do I achieve the full 5-9 stop range with this kit?
Answer: Attach the NiSi True Color VND 1-5 stop to your lens, then add the NiSi Swift System ND16 (4 stop) on top. The filters combine to provide a 5-9 stop variable ND range. Installation is simply done by pushing the filters onto the adapter or lens as intended.
question: Will I see the “X” pattern common to some variable NDs?
Answer: The NiSi True Color design aims to avoid the “X” effect across the stated range. Proper use within the specified stops and focal length recommendations reduces the chance of that pattern appearing.
question: Can I use this kit for video and stills, and how do I control exposure precisely?
Answer: Yes. For video, you can combine aperture adjustments with the filter to maintain frame rate while fine-tuning exposure. The numbered front ring and built-in end stops help you set and repeat precise density values during shooting.
question: How do I care for and clean the filters?
Answer: The filters feature an advanced nano coating that repels water, grease and dirt, making cleaning easier. Use a soft blower, microfiber cloth, or recommended filter-cleaning solution to remove residues gently.
question: Which wide-angle lenses are safe to use without vignetting?
Answer: On full-frame systems, the True Color VND 1-5 stop can be used down to 16mm without vignetting. When you add the ND16, the combined setup is safe down to 18mm without vignetting. Follow these guidelines to avoid darkened corners.
