The NiSi Square Nano IRND 180x180mm ND1000 (10 stops) is a neutral density filter designed to extend exposure time while preserving accurate colors. It uses high definition optical glass and double-sided Nano Coating technology. In addition, an infrared (IR) protection coating reduces unwanted IR contamination so your images retain natural, vibrant color.

Because it is made from high quality optical glass (not resin), it preserves detail across the frame. The nano coatings help repel water and oil, and reduce reflections on both sides of the filter.

What the filter does

Neutral density filters let you use longer exposure times to create creative effects such as smooth water, motion blur in clouds, or reduced depth of field in bright light. Importantly, neutral density filters do not affect the coloration of the image. However, when using ND filters the camera becomes vulnerable to infrared light.
