Shoot realistic 360-degree stills and videos with the RICOH THETA X. It combines newly developed 48MP CMOS image sensors, an upgraded main processor and an improved lens design to deliver higher-resolution spherical images. Additionally, enhanced image stabilization supports smooth 360° video capture at a 5.7K-equivalent resolution (5760 × 2880 pixels) at 30 fps.
The THETA X uses new 48MP sensors and a renewed processing pipeline to increase detail in 360° stills. You can output still images up to approximately 60MP and select between two image sizes to match shooting conditions: an 11K option for very high-resolution bright-light indoor photography, and a 5.5K option for efficient capture in many other scenarios.
Ricoh upgraded the lens design and image stabilization to produce vivid and smooth 360° video. The camera records video at a 5.7K-equivalent resolution of 5760 × 2880 pixels at 30 frames per second, providing a balance between resolution and fluid motion suitable for immersive video capture.
The THETA X adds a large 2.25-inch touch screen so you can preview scenes, change shooting settings and view captured images without needing a smartphone. The camera features an interchangeable battery and a Micro SD card slot to support extended shooting sessions and flexible file storage.
