The SEETEC P173-9HSD is a 17.3" multi-format broadcast LCD monitor designed for 4K field production, filmmaking, broadcast and post-production. It accepts 4K HDMI input/output and provides a Full HD viewing panel for accurate monitoring on set or in mobile broadcast environments.
SEETEC built this monitor for use in TV news production, broadcasting houses and broadcasting trucks. Because it often operates alongside other professional equipment, the monitor emphasizes stability, high reliability and electromagnetic compatibility to help the whole system work smoothly.
The monitor uses a full aluminum case. This construction increases durability, improves heat dissipation and enhances anti-interference capability.
This monitor includes several broadcast-grade assist tools to help you monitor accurately during shooting and playback. These functions improve focus checking, framing and exposure evaluation so you can make confident decisions on set and reduce time in post.
The monitor uses a 17.3-inch 1920×1080 Full HD panel to deliver clear on-set images and reliable color reproduction. SEETEC applies the Rec.709 HD color standard and performs factory calibration with professional instruments, which helps achieve accurate color reproduction and prevents color distortion.
Because the monitor supports ITU standards and Rec.709 color space, advanced image processing presents natural colors and clear images to help you evaluate input video signals accurately.
The P173-9HSD offers an OSD with four programmable function keys (F keys) for rapid access to common tasks like peaking, check field and camera mode. SEETEC also reserves a knob for professional users. The combination of double functions and a knob-type coding switch aims to provide quick, convenient operation during fast-paced shoots.
This monitor accepts a wide range of input formats to meet diverse production needs. Inputs include 3G/HD/SD-SDI, HDMI (4K capable), YPbPr, Audio, Video and DVI. Such flexibility makes the monitor suitable for broadcast facilities, mobile live production and feature film sets.
The P173-9HSD includes built-in LED tally indicators on both the front and rear panels. The tally lights support three colors (Red, Green, Yellow) and are controlled via DB-9 ports on the rear panel.
For power, you can use a DC adapter or lithium batteries. The monitor supports a V battery plate as standard and can accept an Anton Bauer battery plate of your choice for flexible field use.
The product ships with a new extended sunshade to improve viewing in various lighting conditions. There are three mounting points on the U-shaped bracket and standard 1/4" holes, so you can attach the monitor to camera rigs, hang it from supports or place it on a table for crew monitoring.
