Zhiyun Molus LED X100RGB Pro Cob Light – Ultra-compact RGB COB with up to 12,600 lux using Mini Lens Reflector

The Zhiyun Molus X100 RGB LED is an ultra-compact, lightweight COB light designed for creators on the move. It measures just 3 cm thick and weighs 384 g. Despite its small size, it delivers strong output and flexible color control for on-location shoots, portraits, and studio setups.

High output and mixed-light performance

The X100RGB uses a new light bead arrangement and a mixed lighting solution to deliver RGB colors at key light-level brightness. The light produces a peak mixed-light power of up to 85W. At full power without a reflector, it emits 3,110 lux. When you attach Zhiyun's ultra-thin Mini Lens Reflector, the brightness in CCT mode increases by 4.3× to 12,600 lux, which Zhiyun equates to the output of a 300W professional cinema light.

Additionally, in RGB mode the unit’s brightness increases by approximately 3.6–5× while maintaining a uniform light spot and seamless color transitions. This makes the X100RGB suitable for creative color work and practical key-light applications.

Optics and modifier ecosystem

Zhiyun developed an ultra-thin Mini Lens Reflector specifically for the X series. The reflector enhances brightness and evens light distribution, making it useful for magazine covers, portrait posters, and theatrical shoots. The Mini Lens Reflector is included in the Pro model.

The X100RGB supports a dual-mount modifier ecosystem. It uses Zhiyun’s compact ZY mount for custom Mini light modifiers and also supports Bowens-mount modifiers, offering compatibility with common light-shaping tools.

ZHIYUN’s Dynavort technology manages heat dissipation in an ultra-thin design, providing stable performance and low noise during operation. This makes the light suitable for on-camera or close-to-subject situations where compact size and quiet operation matter.

The X100RGB features a detachable grip battery system. The Pro model includes a detachable high-capacity grip battery with a rated capacity of 57.72Wh. At full power, this battery provides approximately 34 minutes of runtime.

For convenience, the light supports PD fast charging and can be powered directly via PD adapters. The minimum PD input power supported is 18W. The X100RGB can also be powered via a DC power adapter for continuous indoor or fixed setups; a DC power adapter is included in both the Standard and Pro models.
