 Introducing the ARRI Ensō Prime Core 6-Lens Set, the latest addition to ARRI's esteemed lens family. These small, lightweight, and versatile lenses are engineered to deliver exceptional image quality across a variety of shooting conditions. With a beautifully smooth and balanced native look, the Ensō lenses can be customized using Ensō Vintage Elements, which attach seamlessly to the back of the lenses. This innovative feature allows filmmakers to achieve a multitude of distinct visual styles with a single, cost-effective lens set.  

THE PHILOSOPHY BEHIND ENSŌ  

The term "ensō" refers to a circular symbol deeply rooted in Zen calligraphy and Japanese aesthetic culture. Crafting an ensō with a single, uninterrupted brushstroke symbolizes a state of mindfulness and creative flow, free from distractions. ARRI Ensō lenses embody this philosophy, empowering image-makers to set aside technical concerns and immerse themselves in the art of capturing the moment, thus enhancing their creative expression.

The Ensō lens set features uniform lens housings, with gear rings positioned consistently across all 14 focal lengths. Most lenses boast a front diameter of 95mm, facilitating quick and efficient lens swaps on set without disruption. The core set of six focal lengths is designed for frequent use, while the inclusion of wide-angle options (10.5mm and 14mm) and a telephoto lens (25mm, extendable to 350/500mm with 1.4x/2x extenders) ensures that filmmakers can meet even the most demanding visual requirements.

EXTERNAL LENS ADJUSTMENT  

Ensō Vintage Elements (EVE) are modular optics that magnetically connect to the rear of Ensō lenses, enabling swift and effortless external lens adjustments that transform the aesthetic of your images.   Data regarding minor adjustments to focus scale, T-stop, and focal length is transmitted to on-set monitors and postproduction, facilitating automatic focus compensation with the ARRI Hi-5 hand unit.   The collection includes six Vintage Elements and a Creative Adapter, allowing you to invert and customize your own unique Elements.
