Weather sealed construction

The DG Summilux 12mm f/1.4 ASPH has an elegant and robust design that resists water splashes and dust. This makes it a perfect fit with Panasonic's Lumix-G cameras and can handle even tougher shooting conditions.

Optical performance

The lens system consists of 15 elements in 12 groups with two aspherical lenses, two UED lenses (Ultra Extra-low Dispersion) and one and one ED lens (Extra-low Dispersion). These effectively reduce spherical aberration and distortion, while giving your images high resolution from the center to the edges and minimizing flare and shadows. This way you get sharp images with high contrast even at maximum aperture. This is especially useful for night photography and photography in poor lighting conditions.

Smooth and silent autofocus

The lens is equipped with an internal focusing and stepper motor that makes the focusing smooth and quiet both during photography and filming. In addition, it is equipped with an aperture ring and AF/MF switch for quick control.
