Tokina Vista 18mm T1,5 Cinema Lens

Tokina 18mm T1.5 Cinema Vista Prime Lens provides an image circle that more than covers full-frame sensors and is designed to provide sharp images even when shooting images with 8K resolution. This is an 18mm focal length lens and has the same form factor, lens shift position, focus rotation and front diameter as the other Tokina Cinema Vista prime lenses. This makes lens changes quick and efficient. It has a maximum T-stop of 1.5, useful for shooting in low light situations or when you want to capture the very shallow depth of field.

The 9-leaf iris provides round out-of-focus highlights for a natural bokeh. The lens barrel has approximately 300° rotation from near focus to infinity; This gives you a high degree of precision when you focus. The lens is designed to minimize focus breathing and has manual focus and iris rings. Markings on both sides of the lens tube make it legible from both sides of the camera.

Features

  • Can focus images on a sensor with full 8K resolution and has a 46.7mm image circle that covers full size sensors in standard size.
  • The use of a 9-leaf iris gives a soft round look to specular highlights without focus. The iris also gives an appealing bokeh, which refers to the natural look. The iris is manual and has smooth movement without click stops for smooth exposure adjustments during recording.
  • The lens has markings on both sides, making it easy to read focus and aperture settings from both sides of the camera.
  • The lens shares the same front lens diameters and gear position on focus and iris rings as the other lenses in the series, which makes the lens change quick and comfortable. In addition, the focus ring has about 300º smooth rotation to facilitate consistently accurate focusing.
  • Designed to minimize variations in point of view during focusing, a phenomenon called focus breathing. This feature is extremely important when drawing focus, especially on static images, where focus breathing is more noticeable.
  • The lens has a front diameter of 114mm to accommodate industry standard matte boxes.
