The BirdDog Mini HDMI to NDI Encoder/Decoder is a compact yet powerful interface designed for HDMI video sources and destinations. In encoding mode, simply connect your camera or video source, and it will seamlessly integrate into your NDI-enabled network. Conversely, in decoding mode, it allows you to connect an NDI source and output to monitors, switchers, or other HDMI destinations, all while supporting 1080p59.94 resolution. With Power over Ethernet (PoE) capability, the Mini can operate without a separate power supply, making it an ideal choice for studios and video production environments utilizing NDI technology.

Tally Support

Changing Modes from NDI Encoder to NDI Decoder

Designed for versatility, the Mini can easily switch between NDI Encoder and NDI Decoder modes with a simple button click via the web console. In Encode Mode, it efficiently brings HDMI sources into the NDI ecosystem, supporting resolutions up to 1080p60.

Flexible Power Options

The Mini offers multiple power options, including DC input from a camera battery's D-Tap or a separate power adapter. Additionally, it can be powered over Ethernet using a PoE-enabled switcher or injector, enhancing its adaptability in various setups.

Comms

The Mini is fully compatible with BirdDog Comms technology, ensuring effective communication within your production environment.

Supporting BirdDog Link, the Mini allows for encoding from any BirdDog Studio NDI or Mini, enabling playback on TVs or monitors for a streamlined workflow.
