The Blackmagic Micro Converter BiDirectional SDI/HDMI 12G makes it easy to combine SDI and HDMI equipment in professional video workflows. This compact and robust converter can convert SDI to HDMI and HDMI to SDI in all SD, HD and UHD formats up to 2160p60 - simultaneously in both directions. Ideal for live production, broadcast and studio setups.
Two converters in one
The device supports simultaneous bi-directional conversion, where each direction can have a different video format (SD, HD or UHD). This means that you effectively get two separate converters in one device.
Support up to DCI/UHD 4K60
Micro Converter 12G handles resolutions from NTSC and PAL up to DCI/UHD 4K at 60 fps via both SDI and HDMI. It also supports cine-adapted frame rates such as 48 fps.
Camera control via SDI
The unit enables camera control conversion for the HDMI output of the Blackmagic Pocket Cinema Camera 4K and 6K, allowing the cameras to be used with SDI-based live switchers.
Timecode support over SDI and HDMI
HD and SD timecode is supported and can be converted between HDMI and SDI in both directions - ideal for professional productions that require precise sync.
Stable signal with SDI re-clocking
Built-in 3G-SDI re-clocking ensures stable signal transmission over longer cable runs. The device is compatible with SMPTE 259M, 292M, 296M, 424M and 425M (Level A & B).
Compact and robust design
The pocket-friendly metal chassis with robust connectors is built for professional use. LED indicators clearly show video and power status.
Flexible power supply via USB-C
The converter can be powered via USB Type-C from a monitor, laptop or other compatible device. Supplied AC adapter and international plug adapters are included for maximum flexibility.
