Blackmagic Design Studio Fiber Converter

The Studio Fiber Converter makes it possible to connect cameras via SMPTE fiber that is up to 2 kilometers away from the production site. Via SMPTE fiber, image signal is sent in both directions, intercom, control signals and current, which means that only one cable is needed to drive and receive image signal from the camera.

Monitor screen

On the front is the connector for SMPTE fiber and a screen that shows the incoming signal. The screen also shows if the signal is selected as the source in a mixer by turning the frame around the image red.

Power supply

Studio Fiber Converter is powered via 230 volts directly via the mains. Via the SMPTE cable, it can drive the URSA mini as well as accessories such as a viewfinder and monitor.
