Laowa 15mm f/4.5R Zero-D Shift for Hasselblad XCD – 15mm ultra-wide with ±8mm shift for perspective control

The Laowa 15mm f/4.5R Zero-D Shift for Hasselblad XCD delivers an extreme wide-angle view while letting you control perspective. It targets photographers working with the Hasselblad X medium format system who need ultra-wide coverage without pronounced distortion. Use it for architecture, interiors, cityscapes, and creative stitched panoramas when maintaining straight lines is essential.

Ultra-wide field of view and low distortion

This lens provides a 15mm focal length with a very wide 110° angle of view. Furthermore, as part of Laowa’s Zero-D series, it keeps distortion exceptionally low. Consequently, straight lines remain natural and accurate straight out of camera, which benefits architectural and interior photography in particular.

Shift capability and rotation for precise perspective correction

The lens offers ±8mm shift on medium format. You can correct perspective in-camera or use the shift to create clean stitched panoramas. In addition, the 360° rotation system features 15° click stops, so you can align the shift direction precisely for both horizontal and vertical compositions.

Large image circle and practical handling

Laowa designed a large 65mm image circle to allow shift without vignetting. The lens is manual focus, giving you direct control over focus adjustments. Also, it focuses as close as 20 cm, which helps when you want foreground details combined with wide scenes.

Optical design and aperture characteristics

The optical formula consists of 17 elements in 11 groups, including aspherical and ED elements. The lens also uses an updated anti-reflective coating to manage reflections. A 14-blade aperture delivers smoother round highlights and produces subtle 14-point sunstars when shooting bright points of light.
