The AW-UE50KEJ is a compact PTZ camera designed for fixed installations and live production environments that require remote operation and 4K capture. It uses a 1/2.5-type 4K MOS sensor and delivers consistent image quality across a wide focal range. In addition, the camera supports multiple video outputs for UHD and HD workflows.
For UHD monitoring and recording, the camera delivers up to 2160/29.97p or 25p via HDMI. For HD output, it provides up to 1080/59.94p or 50p via 3G-SDI. The HDMI output supports 4:2:2 10-bit signals, and 3G-SDI supports HD formats with Level-A and Level-B.
The integrated lens covers a 35 mm–equivalent focal range of approximately 25–600 mm. It offers a 24x optical zoom and i.Zoom that extends to 28x in UHD and 36x in FHD. You can also use the digital extender at 1.4x or 2x when extra reach is required. The horizontal angle of view reaches approximately 74° at the wide end.
The AW-UE50KEJ supports IP streaming using JPEG (MJPEG), H.264 and H.265. It works with common streaming and transport protocols, including RTSP/RTP, RTMP/RTMPS and SRT. As an option, you can upgrade the camera to enable NDI HX2 for low-latency IP workflows.
Control is flexible: operate the unit over IP (RJ-45), RS-422, or USB. The camera supports PoE+ so you can deliver power and data over a single Ethernet cable. Mechanically, the direct-drive pan/tilt system provides smooth and precise movement with a pan range of ±175° and a tilt range from −30° to +90°.
The camera includes a USB-C device port that supports UVC/UAC operation for simple connection to computers and streaming systems. In addition, a 3.5 mm stereo mic/line input with plug-in power is available. Audio from that input can be embedded on the video outputs for downstream recording or streaming.
Each of these features supports practical use cases: stream low-latency video over IP, embed live audio for single-cable workflows, and remotely control smooth PTZ movements. Moreover, the optional NDI HX2 upgrade enables integration into NDI-based production systems when required.

Question: Can the AW-UE50KEJ stream over common internet protocols?
Answer: Yes. The camera streams using JPEG (MJPEG), H.264 and H.265 and supports RTSP/RTP, RTMP/RTMPS and SRT for a variety of streaming workflows.
Question: Is NDI available on this model?
Answer: NDI HX2 is available as an optional activation. You can add NDI HX2 to integrate the camera into NDI-based production environments when needed.
Question: How can I power and control the camera for a simple installation?
Answer: The unit supports PoE+, which lets you provide power and data over a single Ethernet cable. Control is available over IP (RJ-45), RS-422, or USB, giving you multiple setup options for simple single-cable installations or more complex control systems.
Question: Can I use the camera as a USB webcam or send embedded audio?
Answer: Yes. The USB-C device port supports UVC/UAC operation for direct connection to computers, and the 3.5 mm mic/line input (with plug-in power) can be embedded on the video outputs for combined audio/video delivery.
