Aputure STORM 400x is a 400 W tunable white luminaire with wide CCT range (2,500-10,000 K), high color accuracy (CRI/TLCI ≥95) and fine-tunable ±G tint for precise ambient light matching. Built for professional productions with IP65 rating and robust components.
Color control and accuracy
The five-channel BLAIR diode engine (Blue/Lime/Amber/Indigo/Red) provides pure white balance over 2,500-10,000 K with ±G adjustment throughout the ASC MITC range. The lamp achieves industry-leading colorimetry: CRI/TLCI ≥95 and SSI ~85-87 at D56/Tungsten.
Built for recording in any weather
IP65 protection for lamp head, control box and connectors ensures safe operation on location. ProLock-Bowens mount securely locks light shapers and keeps optics aligned even with heavier accessories.
Control and integration options
Dimming 0.1-100% with four dimming curves (linear, exponential, logarithmic, S-curve). Support for 16-bit DMX512/RDM, LumenRadio CRMX, Bluetooth via Sidus Link/Sidus Link Pro and etherCON for network control.
Lighting performance in practice
With the included 35° hyper-reflector, STORM 400x delivers approximately 27,100 lux at 1 m at 5,600 K. For even narrower or wider light distribution, you can add Bowens-compatible accessories.
Cooling and operation
The lamphead features intelligent cooling with four fan modes (Smart/High/Medium/Silent) to prioritize sound level or light output as needed. The system can be powered via AC; V-Mount versions are available for battery-based operation.
