Although it is smaller and more compact, it can handle higher weight than previous model, Smooth Q2. The new Smooth Q3 is 20% lighter than its predecessor. The gimbal is compatible with most premium smartphones available on the market as the adjustable clip that holds the phone can be set up to a width of 90 mm.

A new intuitive button layout provides a simpler overview. With the new gimbal, Zhiyun also introduces ZY Prime, a subscription where members have access to more functions such as more templates and ZY Remo remote control function that allows another device to control the smartphone mounted on the gimbal.
